Forensic science

Today we had two detectives in and they had a talk to us about what they do on crime scenes. First off they get a phone call from a witness and then they call in the front line cops or if it's a murder they call in the detectives and they do finger prints foot prints DNA test around the whole house. After they have all the information they send it to the Forensic science in wellington and after about a few days it comes back and it should have someone's names and all there details on it then they can take them to court and arrest them.

what we did this week for our mandarin class so this week we made this cool name tags that had a chinese version of our names and a english version we made these with a piece of card folded it into three  and then our mandarin teacher taught us how to say our names in chinese  and then she got us to write them down on the card and we made a name tag

Clay pigeons are inanimate birds that represent a pigeon or a small bird. so it flys thru the air the like a bird and if you are wondering how does it fly in the air? Well they get loaded into a trap which is kinda like a dog toy thing where you put a ball in it and you throw it. Clay pigeon is also an art of shooting.

Josh is a really funny kiwi guy he loves the outdoors and loves his family. Most of the time you will find Josh wearing a swanndri that hangs down from his back like a tahr skin. Josh,s thick curly hair hangs down from his head like a awapara ram wool. His beard looks like black berry bush that's dying of thirst. His blue eyes sparkle in the light like lake taupo on a good day. He has really  light brown skin is filled with mud like a red stag playing in the mud

You would always find Josh running around being silly in the class and sitting in the principal's office  getting told off. Sometimes after school you would find Josh with his brothers and slingshots hunting rats. josh had no home for a while then moved to the north island where he stayed for a bit in search for a job.

Josh is qute famous on discovery channel click the two buttons 7,0 and there you would find him there (kings of the wild). Josh started up a rafting business in the summer and in the winter it was to cold to go rafting so he traps possums for fur and made money and youtube videos.

Now josh has grown up and He lives in a small house in the south island by the bush with three kids Jack, charlie and sunny and his wife christina. Now you would find josh hanging out with his mates and kids and going up on the hill with a gun and knife.

This year I have made great progress in my maths because I feel really Engaged, I still need a little bit more work on other areas in maths like my times tables and fractions. I know this because my teacher and parents have told me that your maths is getting better but there is more areas in maths that I need to get better at  Achievements I am proud of are soft ball, it was a really cool sport and it helped me be more confident and have more fun. My next learning steps are that I need to get better at my reading because to me reading is boring but sometimes it can be fun, how do I think I could get better at reading, I could read a hunting book or something That Interest me. Groups and activities I have been involved in this year are softball, technology, class councilor. The highlight of my year has been softball because it was fun and it helped me to be more confident .  In 2017 I am looking forward to being a year 8 and doing a lot more fun stuff that will help me with my learning.

We heard footsteps in the dark at about 1.00 in the morning it kinda sounded the a really big stage so I got my rifle and popped my head out of the tents opening and sure enough there was a big stag roaming around our campsite. I woke Rio and Henry up to tell them the good news. They also got their guns the stag was still there so we let Rio have a crack at it so he did he lined the massive animal in this sites and put the cross hairs on this heart and pulled the trigger it dropped like a sack of potatoes. Rio was the most happiest boy in the whole of New Zealand. It was about 2.00 in the morning and we had just finished up gutting Rios stag if you want to know how much points it had well let's just say there was to many to count. Its 6.00 in the morning and we were on our why to shoot some big stag. After watching Rio shoot that big stage well me and Henry were pumped. We finally arrived at our disaster nation and we called already see deer and they were “BIG”. So we hatched a plan then and there and dissidence that is was Henry's turn

I was in team new zealand and just waiting for a gold medal like a kid that really wants a new Xbox game that just came out!!!!.It was my turn I stepped up to the shooting point and pointed my gun in a safe direction and loaded It gun as the shotgun shells got feed throw the bullet holder I Became more and more nevus wondering if I was going to win I lined my eye up with the bead and yelled pull as soon the clay pigeon came out of the trap I gave it some lead and pulled the trigger  Bang!!!!! the clay pigeon smashed like glass and  fell l to the ground like snow I was revealed and happy that I smoked the last clay pigeon and had not missed one. As soon as they called my name my heart was racing out of my chest I didn't know if i was going to be first or second or third?????.as soon as I placed my foot on first I became the most happiest person on earth after all my hard work off practising and buying new guns and heaps of ammo it finally pad of : )

In the trench, muddy and cold, my mates are dying of sickness

I want to go to sleep but I can't because my conrade said no.

Where marching away from the front line back to safety

For some rest.

Walking back to safety, most men had no shoes

and it felt like they were walking on prickles.

The men are walking like drunken men.

Most of the men can,t hear the loud booms fly past there heads.

We suddenly felt that we were walk in poisonous gas i shouted out gas mas.

One man was too tired and weak to

put on his uncomfortable gas mask

As the gas got thicker his screams got louder.

The gas is thick all I can here is my soldiers

Coughing with their inconfortable gas mas on.

Our conrad run over to me and pulled on my jersey

And struggling to breath his lifeless eyes gazed at me in pan.

I'm so disgusted by watching my conrad die in agony,

People are so lucky that don’t have

To watch there mates die in pain and pull the Wagon

with dead soldiers in it Echoes of suffering.

A dying man in a  wagon is like hell.

A high pichid scream that persis your ear Drum.

soldier are falling off the wagon and blood splatters everywhere.

The gas is slowly going away I can just about see properly .

For art this week we did an identity portraits so we had to draw our faces and then cut out things about yourself out of a magazine.

Gold bbok goals for terms 1&2 2

My gold book goal for terms 1&2 is ....  get a lot of gold points technology and sports so I can get a badge for each


 I will achieve this by .... signing up to sports like softball and rugby and being good in class by not sitting next to my friends


By the end of year 8 I hope to have achieved ....  a gold award and at least a star
